Our school is currently holding interviews for full-time English teachers to join our campus in the Nancheng District of Dongguan. If you have a passion for teaching young learners between 4 to 17 years old, from kindergarten through high school, we would love to hear from you.
Our foreign teachers are encouraged to use engaging teaching methods to provide our students with a unique learning experience. The class sizes are kept small, averaging 8 to 16 students per class, which allows for noticeable progress and easier classroom management. Teachers will be provided with course materials, but are also expected to prepare lesson plans to ensure classes are dynamic and effective. Course Materials & Technology
Popular with students and teachers alike, our course books have been developed by a dedicated team of linguistic and educational experts. Course books are accompanied by a wide range of supplementary materials including flashcards, posters, handouts, CD’s, videos, songs and in-class computer applications, all essential for teachers to deliver varied and engaging classes.
Teachers make use of a variety of activities such as role plays, group work, competitions, drama, stories and songs to bring the classes to life. The class sizes are kept small, to an average of 8-12 students, which allows for noticeable progress to be made and also makes classroom management that much easier.
Teach English in Dongguan
Dongguan is a dynamic city in Guangdong Province, located in the Greater Bay Area and well connected to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It offers a comfortable lifestyle, convenient transport, modern shopping areas, local food, parks and cultural experiences, making it a practical and enjoyable base for teachers living in southern China.
The school is located in Nancheng, Dongguan, close to the First International area, with access to shops, restaurants and transport links.
Main Responsibilities
-Student ages: 4 to 17 years old
-Class size: approximately 8 to 16 students per class
-Maximum of 25 academic teaching hours per week during regular months
-Maximum of 32 academic teaching hours per week during winter and summer peak seasons
-40 office hours per week; 5 working days per week in non-peak seasons and up to 6 working days per week during peak seasons
-Plan and prepare lessons and teaching materials in advance. Deliver high-quality English lessons using EF course materials and supplementary resources
-Use audio, video, CALL and online learning resources in class. Administer, correct and record student progress reports, tests and assessments
-Cooperate with the Director of Studies and Centre Manager to ensure smooth centre operations. Assist with placement testing and interviews for new students
-Carry out teaching-related responsibilities including demonstration classes, Life Clubs, tutorials, seminars and presentations. Attend teacher development workshops, training sessions and peer observations
-Participate in centre events and extra-curricular activities
-Maintain student and class records and keep teaching resources well organised
Compensation
-Monthly salary: 15,000 RMB after tax for a Bachelor’s degree, or 18,000 RMB after tax for a Master’s degree
-Housing allowance: 2,500 RMB per month
-Annual contract completion bonus: 10,000 RMB
-Flight allowance: 10,000 RMB per year upon contract completion
-Commercial medical insurance provided
-Visa: School covers the application fees for the work permit and residence permit
-10 days of paid annual leave per year
-Airport pickup service provided upon arrival
-Ongoing training and academic support
-Career development opportunities, with progression available to Senior Teacher level
Requirements
-Native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
-Bachelor’s degree or above; English, Education or related majors preferred
-120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate required
-Clean criminal background check from the home country
-At least 1 year of English teaching experience, preferably with primary to high school-aged learners
-Responsible, patient and passionate about teaching young learners
-Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
-Able to meet China work permit requirements
