We are now holding interviews for English teachers at our public schools based in the vibrant southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. If you are a creative teacher, have an interest in an authentic Chinese school setting and can deliver learner centered, engaging lessons then we are interested in speaking with you. We have positions in Nanshan, Pingshan, Futian and Luohu districts.
We are a deputy bureau chief level administrative institution, which was established by the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Shenzhen Municipal Government in 1991. We are committed to training international talents for State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) and Shenzhen Human Resource and Social Security Bureau. In compliance with local government demand, we seek foreign teachers to enhance public primary and secondary schools’ English development to keep pace with the economic development of the region.
We are a professional team committed to professional development of all of our staff and teachers, in the fifth year of our international education program. We are currently contracted with Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau, Futian District Education Bureau, Luohu District Education Bureau and Longgang District Education Bureau, with more than 180 foreign members of staff working on our behalf throughout these districts. Our goal is to internationalize education in the public sector, and create a relaxed and friendly environment to enable students to gain confidence in their spoken English. We take professionalism in teaching seriously, and as part of that offer regular professional development sessions to assist our staff in their own development, enabling them to reach higher standards both in the short term and in the future.
All new teachers will receive training every week and will be introduced to the school and teaching methods. Teaching materials and resources are provided by the school and are targeted to the age of the students being taught. Materials follow the Chinese national school curriculum. Teachers are encouraged to adapt and supplement the materials where need be to ensure classes are engaging and interesting.
Teach English and Academic Subjects in Shenzhen
Shenzhen is located in the southern portion of the Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong (located just south of Shenzhen), Shenzhen’s location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was built in Shenzhen. From then on, Shenzhen become a highlighted city of China, one known for its rapid economic growth.
Shenzhen is considered as one of the richest cities in the country which offers foreigners a great insight into contemporary China. From a small fishing village 30 years ago, Shenzhen has turned into a city filled with dynamic energy and on its way to becoming a world-class metropolis. Shenzhen is also known for its famous architecture, bars, restaurants, art scenes and shopping areas.
-Maximum of 12 teaching hours per week
-Monday to Friday classes with evenings and weekends off
-Student ages: 8 – 15 years old
-Deliver learner centered, engaging lessons to students
-Ensure equal participation of all students
-Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner
-Actively participate in professional development workshops and activities

-Excellent salary: 13,000 – 20,000 RMB per month (depending on experience, qualifications and location)
-Assistance finding accommodation
-Free temporary hotel / apartment on arrival for 2 to 4 weeks, while you find an apartment
-4,200 RMB towards quarantine costs if required and reimbursed COVID test costs
-Flight allowance: 8,000 RMB (half at the end of each semester)
-Performance bonus: 6,000 RMB over the course of 1 year
-Interest free loan on arrival if required
-Contract renewal bonus: 2,000 RMB
-Annual loyalty bonus: starting at 4,000 RMB for 2 years and increasing to 10,000 RMB for 5 years
