We are a modern and progressive English drama school, and we are now holding interviews for professional, passionate English drama teachers to teach at our school in the beautiful city of Guiyang. Guiyang is famed for its amazing natural scenery & cultural architectural buildings. We are looking for drama teachers with energy and a good understanding of teaching techniques for young learners English to join our team.

It’s important to us that our students are given the chance to discover and cultivate their artistic skills, so that they can develop their instincts and learn to utilize their resources.

Teach English in Guiyang
Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou Province, located in the southwest of China, on the eastern side of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Guiyang is famous for its colorful culture represented by diverse ethnic groups. Mountains and plateaus make up about 65% of Guizhou’s topography. The terrain is surrounded with underground rivers, jagged peaks, dramatic valleys, and beautiful terraced rice fields. Guizhou has spectacular waterfalls, national forests, and breath-taking scenery. The city’s primary tourist attractions are Qianlinghsna Mountain, Lake Qianling, the Huaxi scenic area, the Huangguoshu falls, and the Dragon Palace.
After 6:30pm every night, the street stands will begin filling the streets with amazing aroma and mouthwatering snacks. Guiyang people prefer spicy food, so hot pepper is indispensable to Guiyang dishes. The Vinegar Bar is one of Guiyang’s special nightlife destinations. As the name suggests, the Vinegar Bar offers vinegar drinks, usually with a fruity flavor or with special material like the sticky rice and pearl powder.
Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 25 teaching hours per week
-Maximum of 10 admin hours per week
-Wednesday to Sunday working schedule (Monday & Tuesday are off)
-Student age: 4 to 12 years old
-Prepare teaching materials for each class in advance
-Contribute positively to the work of English drama teaching
-Lead drama / theatre & some TEFL-combined classes & curriculum development
-Take shots of homework guide video
-Participate in marketing campaign
-Teach the English language to the best of your ability, focus on learning objectives and achieve them through a stimulating and motivating way
-Be responsible for the students’ welfare and development
Compensation
-Excellent monthly salary: 14,000 to 17,000 RMB
-Free accommodation provided by the school OR 1,800 RMB monthly housing allowance
-Arrival 3 day hotel allowance on provision of receipt
-Monthly demo bonus provided
-Annual airfare reimbursement: up to 6,000 RMB
-Contract completion bonus: up to 10,000 RMB
-All national holidays plus 5 paid personal holidays & 20 unpaid winter holidays
-Health insurance provided
-Legal Z visa provided

-Professional training and ongoing teacher workshops
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Drama relevant subjects required (candidates without Drama major but with strong drama & stage experience may be considered)
-We can consider applicants from any country, with fluent English and a clear accent
-TEFL certificate with 120 hours above preferred (No TEFL? – We recommend INTESOL)
-At least 1 year teaching experience with recommendation letters required
-Strong performing skills
-Professional, dynamic and culturally aware
-Good mental and physical health and clean criminal record
-Be available on weekends or in afternoons / evenings
