The Job
Our school is now seeking for a committed, flexible and dedicated Academic Manager who is interested in taking part of establishing and managing our new chain of schools. We aim to open 5 new schools within 2014 in Beijing and other parts of China. The Academic Manager will be responsible for academic management in all schools and will not be tied to a specific location.
We are an early learning centre based on the British education system. Our classes will be based loosely on the British curriculum and it is the Academic Manager’s responsibility to design the course and curriculum accordingly. As the Academic Manager, you will have to ensure that we reach and maintain high academic standards and provide our students with the best possible education. You will also participate in the school’s marketing events to introduce our school to potential students. It is also important that you possess excellent organizational skills and ability to build strong relationships with your colleagues, co-teachers, staff, students and their parents as well.
One of the essential roles of the Academic Manager is to lead and train qualified English teachers so we are looking for hardworking professionals with outstanding leadership skills. You will focus on the school’s continual development and the implementation of our long term strategic goals. Since we are a British school, we’d like the candidate to be British with PGCE in primary education and at least some experience working in a British school.
All of our schools teach young learners between 3 to 6 years old where they will learn not only the English language but other relevant subjects such as art, math and drama as well. Academic Managers are also required to teach if necessary with the help of two local teaching assistants in every class. We have a strong commitment in providing the best possible education that a young learner may get and motivate them to strive for excellence.
